Ivo sometimes convinces great artists to let him stand behind, beside, or underneath a camera while they are in front of it. A few such individuals (namedrop alert) include Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Morrison, Sully Erna, in music videos, and David Koechner, Ed Begley Jr., Eve Mauro, Spencer Garrett, Naomi Grossman, Eddie McClintock, in film. Sometimes these films win awards such as the Austin Film Festival, Cinequest, Rome, Maui, Garden State Film Festival. Others he’s convinced (2nd namedrop alert) include Joe Manganiello, Mista Lawnge (Black Sheep), Cypress Hill, Luis Fonzi, Nicole Scherzinger, Ja Rule, and various indie artists.

When he’s not convincing artists, he sometimes convinces brands to let him shoot their stuff, and sometimes these brands are Disney, Colgate, Sephora, Benefit, Harlem Globetrotters, Turbana, Wyndham Viva.

When he’s not convincing anyone, he writes. What started with copywriting in New York, working on Gevalia Coffee, Sam Adams, and Schick Shaving Products, turned to narrative stuff, primarily screenplays (even though fiction is not off the table).

To gain deeper knowledge of the craft, the meaning of life, and hang out with some cool cats, he did time at UCR Palm Desert wrangling a creative writing MFA . Between projects, he is writing a screenwriting book. A Script Magazine and Screencraft contributor, he also publishes the screenwriting blog Scriptdive. He is currently in post-production on The Subscriber, a crime thriller featuring sharp characters, questionable real estate, and three buckets of blood.
